Progress: Recorded a personal demo recording to document progress so far and held the first mentor meeting. Built out a working agentic AI prototype using the USGS API to evaluate stream likeability, resolving initial technical and harnessing issues along the way.
Struggle: Major pivot in project direction. Discussing career goals with the mentor made it clear that focusing on agentic AI aligns much better with my future goals than the original data engineering route. Additionally the amount to research learn about the water sourcing and chemistry is going to take much longer than the two remaining weeks. Navigating the mental reset of shifting gears late in week two, failing fast, but realizing the adjustment could have happened even sooner.
Plan: Revisit the Discovery and MVP Canvases next week to re-identify the core user and align the project vision around the AI agent approach. Record an updated public progress video reflecting this new direction and map out the redefined project scope.
